About ACSW

ACSW is the first sanctioning organization for the sport of K9 Nose Work®  in Australia. The ACSW strives to build the sport of nose work in a way that honors the high caliber and quality of the National Association of Canine Scent Work, LLC®, the first organization world wide to set the standards and rules for K9 Nose Work® competitions and instructor certification.

ACSW is independent of the NACSW.

The ACSW is the only official sanctioning and organizing body for K9 Nose Work® titles and ORTs in Australia. Regardless of training methodology, all competitors are welcome to participate in an ACSW event.

The ACSW has developed trial rules and parameters to meet the unique needs of the Australian competitor and these can be found here. If you wish to have a better understanding of the currently established rules of The National Association of Canine Scent Work™ (NACSW) the rulebook is available at  NACSW Rule Book.

The ACSW strives to meet the high standards demonstrated by NACSW competitions and competitors, while developing a program unique in Australia.

The ACSW invites a wide range of people that have demonstrated a passion for the sport and a thorough understanding of the K9 Nose Work philosophies to be involved in judging.   Competitors benefit from the judges’ expertise and understanding of scent work and searching; judges find it exciting and rewarding to observe such a diverse group of K9 Nose Work® dogs and handlers.
